Section Four Exercise One
Make 1 discussion post to continue.
Make 1 discussion post to continue. The course workbook lists possible members of a crisis management team. • Select five of these members and explain what knowledge and specific skills they would provide that would make them an asset to the team. • Include other people who were not listed in the workbook but might be part of your particular on-site team.
Section Four Exercise Two
Make 1 discussion post to continue.
Make 1 discussion post to continue. Imagine you are at your biggest show in the Northeast and there is a huge snow storm on move-in day. All local airports are closed. Some exhibitors are late arriving to the hotels and onsite. Some of their exhibit materials (from boxes to booths) haven’t arrived either. The exhibitors are not happy and are blaming you for everything. Keep in mind that you may be able to solve this and you may not, but it is up to you to do as much as you can in this crisis situation. Also keep in mind the safety and security of your exhibitors, your attendees, your vendors and your staff. Now answer the three questions below: 1. What you would have done in your pre-planning to avoid this from happening in the first place? Is there anything that you could have done? 2. What would you do onsite to deal with this situation as quickly and efficiently as possible? 3. Who would be liable for any damages that may occur?
Section Four Exercise Three
Make 1 discussion post to continue.
Make 1 discussion post to continue. Imagine you are the organizer for a tradeshow being held in a venue located near a tourist or heavily trafficked local business section of a large city. • What are the first steps you would take in the event of a bomb threat to the venue during tradeshow hours? • Discuss the chain of command and communication.
